Ethan was of course the engineer on vacation. I told him to leave his work at home, but he just couldn't help but construct and create masterpieces. He instructed John on "how to" make walls and how to build the mote so the water would flow around their masterpiece!
"Hey Dad lets go for a run on the beach" I'm unsure where Ethan got the idea of running on the beach....I wonder if he has been watching BayWatch? No-just kidding! This is my favorite beach picture of Ethan.
When we got home to Utah it was COLD! Ethan got out of the car and said, "Mom can we go back to the beach it's too cold!" I agree...lets go back!

I am SO glad you guys had a blast at the beach. We were in San Diego last December. Eli and Tristan loved the beach but it was too cold to go in the water. So are you guys dolphins by nature and have special skin or was the water actually warm?

OK.... was that water really that warm? I remember we went to a California beach with the cross-country team in December so many years back.... We were the insane Utah Folk wanting to get in the water, even with all the gawking stares of the normal Cali residents. We pretended it was warm- mind over matter! To think your kids played in the water surprises me!
