Disneyland!

This is a post about our vacation. There is a lot of information included. If you aren't interested in the "what's and why's" then please scroll down and find the cute photo's!

Our vacation was GREAT! For three days we were at Disneyland and then for another three days we were in Newport Beach, California.

Ethan and Eliza had a GREAT time at Disneyland!

Before we left for Disneyland we checked the height requirements for all of the rides. We didn't even go near the rides that both Ethan and Eliza could not ride on. We only missed out on a couple rides.

We were very lucky with not having to stand in line. I thought that would be the biggest obstacle to overcome for our 3 and 2 year old. However, everything worked out for us. We rode Dumbo over and over again without having to wait in line! Of course it was everyone's FAVORITE ride! Eliza would kiss Dumbo each and every time we got off of the ride!

The next favorite for Ethan was the rollercoaster! It was the "ToonTown" rollercoaster and he rode it 5 times, over and over again! Eliza wasn't a huge fan, she rode it two times and then said, "All done!"

We didn't stay inside DisneyLand park. We stayed at a "good neighbor" Hotel 3 miles away and we saved a lot of money choosing that option. We also had a stove and microwave in our hotel and so we saved on food too. Breakfast was included each morning at our hotel and that was a huge help! We never purchased lunch or dinner at the park. We always packed PB&J's for lunch with lots of fruit's and snacks.

Another BIG help was that we took our camelback with us. At night we would fill the camelback up with water and place it in the 'fridge so it would be nice and cold when we woke up in the morning! I would definantly recommend bringing a camelback! It was so useful. We drank a lot of water in the park and it was nice not to carry bulky water bottles.

We decided not to take our stroller. I think in the end it was a good/bad idea. We NEVER got to the point of exhausting our kids. If we sensed any foul moods due to being tired, we would leave the park and catch the shuttle back to our hotel and take a nap. We didn't want to deal with cranky, crying little ones.
The good of not taking a stroller was that we didn't have to deal with a bulky stroller, parking a stroller and trying to maneuver a stroller through crowds of people.
The bad of not taking a stroller was that John and I wanted to 'run' to all of the rides/attractions and so we would end up holding the kids so we wouldn't pull off their arms and exhaust them by running them into the ground! John was fine, but for me and being pregnant it was more difficult to hold a child and walk fast.

Ethan was NOT interested in the Disney Characters. He didn't want his picture taken with Mickey or Minnie. He was afraid and Nervous. We didn't force him. We would let him watch from a distance while Eliza ran to the different Characters with arms wide open!

We had a GREAT time. Ethan and Eliza still say, "remember when we saw...!"
We LOVE Disneyland!
