Today we took advantage of a phenomena that can only occur in Utah. We took a tour of three LDS Temples that we had not been to yet! Our journey first began at the soon to be completed
Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It's well situated a top a rise on the west side of the valley and once you know where to look you can see it from anywhere!

From the Draper Temple you can actually see all four Temples in the Salt Lake Valley, (well technically you can't see the Salt Lake City Temple because of the tall building surrounding it, but since you can easily see the Church Office building I say thats close enough). Its difficult to capture the view on a camera so notice the closeness on this map.
It has been such a blessing living so close to the Temple(s). We have generally lived over two hours away from a temple but now we have so many within 15 minutes of each other. Emily and I have made the committment to make it to the temple at least once a week and so far we have done pretty well, there's really no excuse when they are this close!
I took this picture the other day on my way home from my shift. I thought it looked like the pictures you see during General Conference!

And of course this is the Temple that started it all for us. I am now and always will be carrying my lovely wife to the Temple.

I haven't seen the Oquirrh Hills temple yet. I'll have to have someone point it out next time I'm in the valley! My parents live in Draper and have a perfect view of the Draper temple from their backyard. I'm eager to see both of them when they're done!
I love blogging, it is so great to keep up on what you are up to! It is amazing that those two temples are so close to being completed.
that is so neat! I'm very jealous that you are so close! Maybe some day we will be that lucky....
Thank you for the beautiful pictures. I lvoe you all so very much!
