This morning has been quite a morning.
I finally had to take a break...to collect myself and then I went to apologize and say "sorry" to Ethan and Eliza.
Eliza hugged me and went to get a book so I can read to her.
I then said, "sorry" to Ethan and he said..."Mom, when we do bad things please don't yell."
My reply was..."Will you try not to do bad things?"
"Ok Mom, but Mom....you know when you say sorry it means you don't do the bad thing again."
"Yes, Ethan I'm going to try not to yell anymore. I will try my very, very best."
Ethan then walked away and went to play.
Oh-each day there is an "incident" that can cause me to "loose it!" I just need to remember...these little ones are only on "loan" to me. We all have choices and each day I try to make better choices than I did yesterday.
There is power in making change. Lets just hope I remember that when I say sorry..."it means I don't do the bad thing again"

I can certainly relate Emily! Just remember, every day is a new day. And it seemed harder for me not to shout when I was pregnant (maybe that was just me). I don't think I have any mommy friends who don't shout on occasion. Keep up the good work ( :
Aren't these little ones fun?
My dearest Em, I wish I had your foresight when I was raising the young ones. I look back now at some days and think "what was I thinking? they were so little and impressionable."
You are a wonderful mother, and I am so very proud of you. There isn't anyone else I would want to be the mommy to my grand babies or wife to my son.
Thank you for being you,
Hugs
I think you are a fantastic mother Emily! It is normal to loose your temper once and a while. If you didn't you wouldn't be sane! I yelled at Eli and Tristan more than I should have when I was pregnant and it didn't get better after the twins came. Communication is best and you handled it great by appologizing. Every day I say I'm sorry to my kids. It teaches them by example and humbles me to make my home more Christ like. Miss you tons and hope your pregnancy is going well. love ya!!
