Church and the firing range

We had a fun time in Savannah today going to Church and visiting with
friends.

We got into town last night and took the kids down to a Savannah icon,
Spankys, then took 'em to the Candy Kitchen where they got to see
taffy formed and wrapped.

Emily and I have been extremely nostalgic about being here as we
reflect on old memories and notice the things that have changed.

One of those changes is the ward boundaries. Our old Savannah 1st Ward
was split in thirds and combined into other areas to form three
different wards. Our old Bishop and the gentleman that ordained me an
elder, Wayne Woodbury (pictured below), and his family is in the
Savannh Ward so that's where we went today. We saw a few old friends
but mostly it was just fun to see Bro Woodbury.

After Church we had dinner with our friends the Damatos. We also got
to hang out with our friend Robyn. Jen made an amazing meal including
"yummy potatoes". Chris provided an authentic Italian dessert from his
mission, yummmm. After dinner the girls hung out and talked and the
boys went to the rifle range. Ethan fired his first rifle and pistol;
both were .22s. The funny thing was, Ethan would start looking around
as if to see if anyone was watching all the while squeezing the
trigger firing rounds downrange!!

Tomorrow is the infamous Tybee Island, I can barely get Emily to bed
she is so excited to see the beach!!
