Ok, First thing First.
DH has been reprimanded and he will NEVER put a picture on the Internet of me sleeping, NEVER again.
No, this is not because I'm vain or prideful. The reason is this: Because I say SO.
So onto the other events of our life!
We are officially in New York and we are officially moved into our humble abode. The night before the movers came to unload the truck, I got a great idea... at least I thought it was great! I decided to paint the living room. I ran to the local hardware store (Lowes, Walmart, Target are 30 minutes away.) So when I say "local" I mean Mom-N-Pop store. They were very helpful and I can't leave out that they are very "Jersey" or as they say it here, "Joisey!" The cashier had such a deep Joisey accent that I couldn't help but think that I need to start to replace all of my -ER- words with -OI-.
I got the living room painted thanks to DH taking all of the kids to the hotel and putting them to bed!
We live in a great area. There are so many kids (sometimes too many) children to play with. Ethan and Eliza don't know what to do with all of the kids! I'm becoming a little overwhelmed by all of the action and so we are trying to temper all of the activity.
We have been extremely busy since arriving at West Point. There is always something going on. In fact we had some "new cadets" over for an ice cream social. We all had a good time, but Eliza can't get enough of the new cadets. She always says, "Me best friend, Cadet!"
West Point, NY is such a beautiful area. In fact, raspberries grow here in abundance! A couple ladies and I woke up at 5AM and went raspberry picking! The raspberries are juicy and delectable. Since there are lots of different types of berries that grow wild in the area... there are bears that might love the berries more than anyone else! Bears are seen in the housing areas and of course in the "vegetation" frequently.
We are doing well and as soon as I find my camera (have any of you found it?) I will be taking pictures like a mad woman!
One more VERY important item- We miss all of our friends and family that we left behind. We think and talk about you often!

Fresh raspberries?!? Growing wild and you can just pick them? Honestly, I sometimes feel grumbly at living in Utah where we coax things to grow at all. I don't know of any areas here where you can go pick produce for free (there are pick and pay sites.) Too bad raspberries are so fragile or I'd pay you to send us some.
Looking forward to you finding your camera and wishing you lots of happiness while you're in New York. They had a little get together at Uncle Ardie's for Independence Day and we missed you.
Rachel & I went blackberry picking a couple of weeks ago and had a fun time. Just gotta watch the thorns. Sounds like you all are having a wonderful time getting settled in. I miss you. Cant wait to see pictures.
Well I'm glad you're here! And props to you for painting your living room. I'm impressed.
That is awesome that you have a bunch of kids around. This last Sunday, Saffy was the only little kid. She kept on wanting people to play with her. We were out on the grass and she started talking about Ethan and Liza. And how they'd moved to New York. But, don't worry, her famly was going to get a boat and then they were going to visit you!
