All day 8-3.
His teacher is from Brooklyn. She is so intimidating, but at the same kind and gentle.
He rides the bus to and from school. The first day of school Ethan got on the bus and I then followed the bus down to the school, just to make sure he was alright.
When he gets home, he doesn't want to "sit and talk about his day" No way. "Mom, can I go out to play?"
He takes lunch to school except on Fridays. It's pizza day in the cafeteria.
His favorite "subject" is, RECESS! Spanish is quickly becoming his second favorite.
I can't believe he is in Kindergarten!

Congratulations! On both Ethan turning five and kindergarten! I like cute car cake including Buzz.
(we now resume to the original comment that I deleted):
So you're not going to join the ranks of homeschooling quite yet? Wow, 8-3 huh? They've still got just the half-day kindergarten here but we're beyond the kindergarten stage. We're to the age of having one who's going to be driving a car.
How cute. Amy's Lili also started kindergarten this year. It's always hard to believe that they are ready to go off and do other things. They grow up so fast.
It's okay for the oldest child to turn 5 and start Kindergarten. It's when your youngest child does so that we moms can feel old and cry. Congrats to Ethan! And thanks for posting something from August-- I needed to feel as if I wasn't the only one with some catching up to do. ;)
