On 1 November I was promoted to Major!!! (Technically my boss promoted me early on 30 October)
Emily put together an awesome reception and we had a great time. Emily and I were both glad that we brought the kids so they could enjoy the day too. Isaac stole the event though once he smiled at everyone.
Here we are as a newly promoted family. Emily is already looking forward to LTC! The kids have been excited about "daddy's new gold leaf." The other day Ethan saw a LTC and asked why his gold leaf turned black.
Emily says this is who I am... maybe it is, maybe its not. But I'm not the only CPT in the Department anymore. It was really funny to have a CPT salute me the other day. I am getting old. Can you remember when I first got a set of gold bars?

Emily! Hey! Weird that our families are exactly the same: oldest girl, two boys, youngest named Isaac! You look great and it sounds like you are doing well. I'll have to keep track of you now!
